Rebecca Simon

Rebecca has a decade of experience successfully lobbying for clients on a broad range of issues such as energy, health and human services, transportation and economic development. She worked with the Pew Charitable Trusts to pass payday lending reform that resulted in Ohio having the most consumer-friendly short term loan statute in the country.

Rebecca specializes in securing operating and capital budget funding for nonprofit organizations across the state. She worked with the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence to establish the Rape Crisis Center line item in 2013 through standalone legislation and has assisted with continuing to grow the line item in recent years.

 

Based in Capitol Partners’ Columbus office, Rebecca has a deep knowledge of the state legislative process having worked as a legislative aide in the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives prior to joining the firm. As an aide to legislators who held leadership positions, she was intimately involved in the state budgeting process and worked to facilitate passage of a wide range of legislation.

 

Rebecca is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Becca lives in Grandview with her family.
